Parents Are Killing Our Childrens Future
By Brian Gill
It is time now to stand up because time seriously is running out for our children. They are being dis-advantaged by many parents lack of simple loving care. Care about their children's up-bringing, caring enough to take responsibility for their kids future happiness and also their potentially successful futures. Fathers and mothers unite. Do not give in. Period. Stand up for what you know to be sane, right and better for your children regardless of what the powers to be are telling you, or maybe your good intentioned but totally mis-informed partner for that matter. I have never met a father/mother who honestly did not have his/hers childrens best interests in mind. Accidentally perhaps, they may have had a lapse in judgment and wrongly, we all know, ended up spanking their child for a perceived wrong doing the child did against them or someone else. Parents are far better of making small mistakes, if they must, than allowing the child to carry on thinking these wrongs that they are caught doing are at all acceptable by us as a society or that they will be tollerated by society at large. Yes communicating with the child in a stern but gentle manner is more acceptable but the point here is it needs to be addressed on the spot. A rude awakening is waiting for these poor children that miss these life lessons and who will recieve a society's punishment, should they repeat these wrongs as adults, whose punishment will always be far greater than that, that a parent might inflict on them. For example. It is your responsibility to make sure your child is sociable. They learn to be sociable from you so if they are rude, arrogant and continually dis-behaving then ask yourself where are they learning this from. If it is on the internet then turn it OFF and remove their access to it. Remove it to a locked room. Ban any bad use of it and make it a hard and fast rule that if bad use is seen then it is gone from your home. You may ask who determines what is bad use? I believe a home is a man and woman's castle. So obviously it is the king and queen who make the rules. Society is going to be much worse off because of our grown up children if these social structures are left to the governments to handle. One reason why, they are not capable of knowing our children as well as we do. Maybe making it mandatory that all families have their dinner together at the dinner table every night without a life or death reason as to why not. With face to face eating manners are easily taught by example. If you eat with your mouth open then so do your kids and thus, eventually, we all, unfortunately, have a horrible meal out at any restaurant we attend where you or your children happen to be. No! We do not blow our noses at the dinner table either. Yes, we listen to others talk then when they stop we may answer. Everyone yelling at once has no effect other than upsetting everyone in the vicinity. There are maybe hundreds of little lessons that are ingrained on every well raised child by caring adults that could be mentioned her but I am sure you can find them out easily if you do not know what they are. If you feel you were not given a fair up bringing but want to help your own children have a better go of life than you may have had then learn for them. Research behavior, manners and society norms, then teach them to our future. I am not suggesting a goodie two shoes society but the things I have mentioned only make your own, and others, life's a little more bearable. You may not agree with all I say here but I am positive you that have your own children's happiness at heart, as I do. So if you find yourself guilty of ignoring your children because it is 'easier to do so' then wake up to yourself and stop killing our children's futures. Life is too short so make the most of it while you can.
