I Hate My Mother!

Who would ever say, "I Hate My Mother!?" I would imagine only someone who was very upset with their mother and could not find better words to express themselves. or maybe they would be those that were physiologically deranged. Seriously I could be confused by many of my class mates for believing they all hated their mothers. Why? Let me explain. Lunch time comes around and there are my friends opening up their lunch boxes exclaiming "She knows I hate peanut butter! God I hate mum," or "Why did She say I have to go straight home from school? Geez I hate her!" Or the classic one. "I hate mum kissing me in front of my friends." I am not saying mums are all perfect, even though I am sure they are, but being in a position to tell anyone that you 'hate' your mum is a very special place to be believe it or not and should not be wasted by uttering such soul destroying words. Just because you can does not mean you should. My mum died when I was thirteen. Too blunt? The truth often is so go give your mum a phone call or a kiss if she is near or send her some flowers and tell her to read this then apologize to her because I am sure you have done something against her you never meant to do and would like to say you are sorry. Finally, if I ever upset you, mum, in the short time we had together then I am so honestly, from the depths of my soul, so very, very sorry. If I had a cell phone that had Heaven on speed dial I would call you personally and tell you so. All my love for now and forever. Your loved one. |
